Wagner’s Ring for people who can’t be bothered to sit through it | LONDON

Rainer teams up with virtuoso pianist Tyler Hay for the next step in his brand new project “Wagner’s Ring for people who can’t be bothered to sit through it.” Together they storm through Wagner’s 16-hour epic ‘The Ring of the Nibelung’ in 90  minutes (or less).  Expect irreverence, comedy and the musical brilliance which has made Rainer popular the world over – oh, plus 15 Gods; 3 Rhine maidens; 2 giants, and A RING.

“Hersch is a very gifted raconteur with an eye for a good punchline and that innate sense of comic timing that wrings every nuance out of what is a nicely conceived script” (FringeReview). “Wagner is serious and this show is seriously funny! I commend all opera fans to see it; in fact I commend everybody to see it!” (Dr Harry Brunjes,President English National Opera)
